No Better Sport
Sunday, April 18, 2010 @ 5:14 pm by Josh Burcham
I don’t care what the sport is…there is nothing better than NHL playoff hockey. It’s only the highlight, but check out the Coyotes win against the Wings.
February 11
Playoff Hockey
Thursday, February 11, 2010 @ 2:23 pm by Josh Burcham
From start to finish of this game was intense. I’m not a fan of Pittsburgh or Washington. They are great teams to watch, but I’m an Avs fan and only an Avs fan. The game was a blow out at first with Pitts taking a 4-1 lead and then the Caps kicked it on. Watch a condensed version from Hulu.

6-Win Streak!
Wednesday, January 27, 2010 @ 8:30 pm by Josh Burcham
Nothing better than your team winning and winning a lot is really good. Sorry to all the Dallas fans out there, but below is a new feature on Hulu of condensed NHL games.
We’re going deep into the Playoffs and I’m predicting now…the west wins the cup this year.

Colorado 6 – Edmonton 0
Monday, January 18, 2010 @ 11:06 pm by Josh Burcham
It’s a win! It has been nice to have a winning season and fighting for first and not last! And for some sugar on top the Detroit Red Wings are having a horrible system. Not sure if I am more excited over the Avs winning season or the wings crappy season. Colorado took a nice shutout of the Oliers, 6-0. Granted the Oliers are in last place in the west, but a win is a win and we need to keep Calgary behind us.
Unfortunately the above is a picture from last years season was pretty constant, so it has been a nice change of pace. We still aren’t back to our old glory days, of Roy, Sakic and Forsberg and Anderson still has some rough nights, but we are moving in the right direction.
FYI to all, Winter Olympics are right around the corner. Let’s go USA!

Ovechkin, Need to Say More
Monday, November 2, 2009 @ 6:56 pm by Josh Burcham
Now I won’t let my brother know that I posted this about Ovechkin; I like to give him a hard time about his love for Ovechkin. But no one could deny the fact that this guy has some skills. Enjoy this video of some of his top goals. The one on Phoenix is nuts!
Now for your viewing pleasure, took this quick shot of Andrew getting out of the shower. I think he has taken the whole “fan” thing to another level.

Of course, that was a joke and not Andrew’s rear-end.

9 Year-Old Goal-Scorer
Monday, October 19, 2009 @ 10:41 am by Josh Burcham
Have you seen this goal yet? Now for an NHL-er not a huge ordeal, most of them could probably pull it off, but for a 9-year-old, this is nuts! The best part is the goalie’s reaction to the goal. He just stood their in as much shock as the spectators.
As the New York Daily News reports:
Wahlstrom, who plays for the Portland Junior Pirates, was taping the latest edition of TD Bank’s Mini 1-on-1 challenge at Boston’s TD Banknorth Garden when he spun around, picked up the puck on the blade of his stick, and flung a shot past the stunned goalie.

Avs a Top the Leader-board
Friday, October 16, 2009 @ 8:58 am by Josh Burcham
Before something changes I thought it important to post this now with the Avs leading the western conference. Don’t want them to fall into old habits and start moving down the list, but these last couple of seasons have proved that it is a high probability. Now lets cross our fingers and cheer our team so they keep the steak going. Let’s Go Avs!
May 20
Chicago
Wednesday, May 20, 2009 @ 9:46 am by Josh Burcham
Spent this last weekend in Chicago for Nathan’s hockey tournament and to just get out of town for a long weekend. Love being able to watch Nate play. If you kept up with my tweets you know that Nathan’s team was probably placed in the wrong bracket and they were even playing up an age level; just not the skill level. They ended up taking first with blow-outs each game.
Sunday night we spent the night downtown right off of Michigan Street. Saw the Sears Tower (now called something else), Navy Pier, stopped by the Apple Store, ate at Lawrys (sp?) and we walked all up and down downtown. Cool place to visit. I would love to go back to just spend the weekend down there checking out all the sites. Here are some quick videos:
